Now that we are together again during the week, we are having great dinners!

This was an asparagus, sausage and gnocci recipe from Rachael Ray’s cookbook. It was supposed to be broccoli rabe, but asparagus was on sale and looked really good!

It was super-tasty and such a nice weeknight meal!
I also baked these scones Monday night.

Sorry for the crummy photo. Or, should that be crumb-y… !! These scones are excellent – the flavour is subtle, but that could be because I forgot the topping – more maple syrup and oats. I’ve been enjoying one for dessert the past few nights.
Thanks for sticking with me, loyal readers. I think blogging will be easier now that we are having proper weeknight meals. Who wanted to see my eggs, sandwiches, french toast 5 nights a week? Well, I think with meals like the one above, this should bring the interest and excitement back to Hare and Tortoise!
